Orthopedics and Sports Medicine

International Modern Hospital has a highly qualified team of Orthopedic surgeons both substantive and visiting. They manage all kinds of orthopedic cases and sports medicine. The department has an outpatient clinic on daily bases from 9:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m (Ob/Gyne & Pediatrics : 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.) & 24 hours/day emergency services. We have dedicated orthopedic theater with the state-of-the-art equipment including, arthroscopic surgery and joint replacement, and back surgery. Our Physiotherapy department has dedicated and highly qualified physiotherapist who work with the department to give excellent service to inpatients as well as outpatients.

We have particular interest and expertise in treatment of failed previous orthopedic and trauma cases even after failure of multiple surgeries, including special high end technology in treatment of mal-union, non-united fracture with bone loss, and management of infected cases.

Correction of failed previous operations, mal-united, non-united fractures (long bone and intra- articular), with special management of infected orthopedic cases with / or without bone loss using bone marrow cells techniques.

Knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow replacement. Including, primary and revision arthroplasties even for old and osteoporotic patients. Our Operating rooms are fully-equipped for the above techniques can be done through MIS (minimal invasive surgery) for appropriate patients. We use high end technology and the latest special prosthesis, allowing the patient rapid recovery and early full weight-bearing. The department is widely recognized as a center of excellence for total joint replacement surgery.

We have particular interest in arthritis management. Naturally, not all arthritic patients need joint replacement. There are new techniques, both conservative and surgical, to implement which will help arthritic patients e.g. chondro-preservative medications, surgical procedures such as osteotomy, A.C.T as explained earlier, partial joint replacement and inter-positional devices

The department offers excellent care for management of sports injuries both conservative and operative.

Knee

Arthroscopic surgery for knee including meniscal suturing, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) reconstruction, auto-chondral osteografting (OATs), and A.C.T. (auto-chondral transplantation) procedure is available to our patients.

Shoulder

Arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder including decompression, SLAP and Bankart’s repair for recurrent dislocation of shoulder and rotator cuff repair.

Ankle and Elbow Disorders

Sport injuries of the above can be dealt either conservative or through arthroscopic techniques.

Total Joint Arthroplasty Surgery

Revision and primary total knee and hip replacement using minimally invasive approaches and advanced navigated system, reconstructive acetabullaum, massive bone loss and peri-prosthetic fracture. Enabling early walking and rapid recovery; more than 3000 cases of arthroplasty including Geriatric / old age patients with high risk comorbidities.

Complex Fractures Treatment

Major hip, pelvic, acetabullar, knee, shoulder, ankle and foot, complex fractures and surgeries. Using MIS techniques and percutaneous fixation for intra-articular complex fractures.
