Service provided:

• All patients undergoing an operation are seen by the anaesthetist to decide about fitness for anaesthesia and surgery, to plan the peripoerative care, and to provide patient the opportunity for explanation and discussion about the proposed anaesthetic technique and to answer any questions about any aspect of anaesthetic care.
• The anaesthetic team will make sure that all patients will receive a good quality post operative pain management which will improve quality of care and patient satisfaction.
• Pregnant patients requiring anaesthesia for surgery or pain relief during labour will be looked after by the anaesthetist and will have the same standard of facilities and perioperative care as all surgical patients
• The expertise of the anaesthetic team will be heavily utilized in the other areas of care in the International Modern Hospital and that will include Intensive Care Unit, Emergency room, and X-Ray department.

Facilities:

• All operation theatres in the International Modern Hospital are equipped with modern anaesthetic machines, monitors and up to date anaesthetic drugs and consumables. After surgery patient will be recovered in a specially designated area which complies with the international recommended standards in equipment, care and staff.
